I can't believe it's been 34 weeks since I started the online Batman comic strip. It was an experiment to see if I could work under the rigorous deadlines of the Golden Age where comic artists and writers were often tasked to come up with 64 pages over a weekend. My idea was to try to run a page a week with no script and no prep to see what came out of it.
And for the most part I was happy with it.
The art is pretty rushed sometimes and the writing had some ups and downs but overall I think I kept it on track and in the spirit I originally intended it.
Well, I continue to do work that pays the bills and I'll be delving back into the world of Batman again, this time with my take on BATMAN '66 which will start here probably around the end of this month.
It won't be a page a week like this Batman was, it'll be a new page on Wednesdays when I'm finished with it-- I'm putting the art first here and actually working from a script so we'll see how this one compares.
