RIFIFI (1955) Directed by Jules Dassin
Fresh out of jail a jewel thief gets recruited by an old friend to pull off a heist at a jewelry store, agreeing only if they go after the big haul the safe offers they work to steal 240 Million Francs in a daring and suspenseful night long job.
The movie has a huge reputation and deservedly so, the characters are all very unique and the style of 50s Paris is worth your time alone. The movie takes some turns in places that will keep you entertained and engaged. This is the kind of film I sat down to watch five mins of and ended up watching the entire thing.
