Friday was a big work day for us— it rained most of the day so we finished up the first part of SABRINA #3 for Archie Comics— the book was now inked and because I’d already started on colors we were in pretty good shape so we decided that if the weather held up as predicted for the following day we’d head out again.
Sure enough, Saturday morning was beautiful and we both ended up getting up at what is, for us, crazy early so we found ourselves coming in the back way to Brimfield around 9am— the parking lot was already almost full at that point— a lot of people had decided to hold off because of all the rain.
We hit the areas of the show that we’d skipped on our previous two visits and we saw a lot of great stuff. Veronica picked up some vintage fashion advertisements that were really cool.
For lunch we got some AMAZING Falafel at Holyoke Falafel Company’s Food Truck— this was perfectly prepared with tahini sauce, hummus and some Israeli salad wrapped tight in a nice thin piece of pita.
We got back home in time for our good friend Toni’s College Graduation party at her parents house, then from there we did a Whiskey tasting with some good friends in Holden.
Sunday we actually got up and decided to hit Brimfield one more time (crazy! but its the walking we dig) but as we got to Sturbridge the sky opened up so we visited some of our favorite haunts in that town before heading back and getting some yard work done as the weather had cleared and the sun was out.
Another perfect Brimfield— we’ll be back in July.
