I wish I could take credit for that quote but it goes to #2 son Joe Fish. To be fair I have had salads that were really exceptional, but I get the gist of what he's saying. The Worst Buffalo Wings trump the Best Plain Green Salad with Iceberg Lettuce all day long.
Which takes me to diet and exercise. Since getting my trusty Bike refurbished at Fritz's Bike Shop here in Da Woo I've taken to a morning ride most every day and I feel great. I'm still trying to watch what I eat but I'll never diet. Not only do I not believe in dieting-- and I don't mean like I don't believe in Bigfoot-- I think its unhealthy.
Common sense eating is the way to go. You eating Pizza tonight? Have a light breakfast and lunch and maybe walk an extra 10 minutes.
Exercise needs to be common sense too-- it takes about 90 minutes on the treadmill to burn off a Snickers bar-- think about that the next time you're about to indulge-- so apply that to just trying the no complete challenge.
The no complete is simple-- you buy a Twix bar and you only eat one of the two bars, you throw the other one away. Get a donut? No problem, eat half of it and toss the other half. It might seem wasteful but you're going to feel so much better, trust me.
