Spring! Welcome back my old friend!
I like to take a minute at this start of Spring to look back on the Winter we just survived. This year the Farmer's Almanac and The Weather Channel both predicted HARSH Winters for the Northeast-- and while we certainly had some cold days, with the exception of the first major storm and the last major storm it was overall a pretty mild winter. We had one blizzard type of snow which I missed because I was down with the Flu but for the most part we had very little to complain about.
Not that having nothing to complain about would stop most New Englander's from complaining about Winter anyway.
A few years ago we had a winter to end all winters-- Snowmageddon was a term used. It was as if we had elected a president with virtually no experience simply because he was cool and African American-- but we survived the ten foot snow drifts and the fact that Buffalo for the first time in it's history could look elsewhere and say "Boy they get a terrible winter!" and be right.
I never miss Winter and even though I'm no fan of the hottest of hot Summer days it sure will be nice to open our windows again.
