Those words spoken by our 40th president Ronald Reagan. He understood that if you want something done wrong, over budget and completely mangled just ask the government to step in. Politicians like Jim McGovern here in Massachusetts are champions of landing pork barrel spending and then celebrating because after all that waste is all "federal money" as if it wasn't still OUR money in the first place.
The Boston Big Dig is a great example of this-- it was originally projected to take five years to complete and cost US the taxpayers $5 Billion-- it ended up taking nearly fifteen years and cost $21 Billion. Try running your house like that.
What we need more than anything else are adults running government who understand there is no time to war against the other side of the aisle but to pull together and get things done for the common good.
They are few and far between, sadly.
