Thursday features a string of Cagney movies from the early part of his career. He's still finding himself and his identity but the seeds are there.
Thursday afternoon at 430pm is FIVE CAME BACK (1939) which is a neat little RKO programmer about a plane crash in a remote and hostile jungle-- the title alone will tell you it's doesn't have a mostly happy ending. It's suspense and drama at its best. Pic PICK of the week.
BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS is on Saturday at 730am-- you can see Ray Harryhausen's work in play here in this interesting monster movie that is short on substance but long on style.
At 415am Saturday night/Sunday morning is THE VAMPIRE (1957) which is a really interesting movie that combines 50s sci fi with the vampire theme.
