Wednesday Turner has a lineup of Hammer Horror Films-- and these are some of the good ones. HORROR OF DRACULA (1958) is on at 8pm followed by CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957) at 930pm then THE MUMMY (1959) at 11pm. All of them with Christopher Lee as the Monster and Peter Cushing as the other guy.
Friday at 1015pm is THE GLASS KEY (1942) which is a winner on all counts-- Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd in a story by Dashiell Hammett which was later adapted by Kurosawa as YOJIMBO.
Must see pic PICK of the week. Film noir hard boiled action.
Saturday we've got some good stuff starting at 9am with ISLE OF THE DEAD (1945) with Boris Karloff then some lesser Hammer films (which is par for the course for them) with THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1958) and FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN (1966). DIARY OF A MADMAN is on at 145pm with Vincent Price as a sculptor posessed by an evil spirit.
